Budapest sightseeing tour

If you are a real explorer, go and discover the Hungarian capital city on your own. Or do you afraid of being lost among several sights? If so, choose one of the guided tours. The choice is quite varied so finding an ideal one won’t be a too difficult task.

Many visitors say that Budapest shows its best view from the board of a ship which is floating on the River Danube. We don’t deny the power of that marvelous panorama but in some cases, it’s better to stay on the firm ground and explore such little details which couldn’t be discovered otherwise.

Hop-on-hop-off buses through Budapest

Our hop-on-hop-off bus tour offers an excellent chance to learn about Budapest. During this trip, you can travel in the historical part of the city called Castle District (or the 1st district). The merits of this beautiful region were acknowledged by UNESCO when it was enrolled in the list of the World Heritage. We won’t miss the most iconic places such as the Buda Castle, the Citadel, the House of the Hungarian Parliament, or the Széchenyi Chain Bridge. This latter one was the most modern chain bridge of Europe in the middle of the 19th century. According to a popular urban legend, the four stone lions which guard the bridge have no tongues. However, the story is absolutely false: these big cats are short of nothing. The explanation is quite simple; their tongues can’t be seen from the pedestrians’ aspect. Crossing the bridge was not free; actually, there were various kinds of fees for pedestrians and others with cows, little or great cart. This was valid until 1918. Naturally, the Heros’ square is in our repertoire, too. If you hop off only at one stop, choose this one and watch the statues of the Hungarian kings, warlords, freedom fighters, and symbolic figures carefully. The square is bounded by the Museum of Fine Arts and the Hall of Art which was built in eclectic style. In front of the square, you can find the Andrássy Avenue. Originally, at the end of it, there was a splendid fountain called Gloriette and designed by Miklós Ybl who was a famous architect of the 19th century. Among others, he designed the Saint Stephen Basilica and the Hungarian National Opera House (both of them are masterpieces and were built in Neo-Renaissance style; we’ll see them during the Budapest sightseeing tour). Later, when the Heros’ square was designed, the building of the Gloriette was removed; now the well itself is hidden by a metal plate behind the Memorial Stone of Heroes.

Audioguide in 16 languages

Our unique double-decker buses give some specific English taste to the trip. You can hop off at any of the several stops to take some photos or watch some interesting sights more carefully. However, if you’d like to sit comfortably during the whole trip, you can do this – the open buses provide an excellent view.

Knowledge of languages will not be a problem because we offer a professional audio-guide in 16 languages. So, you can learn many interesting facts and stories about the most beautiful buildings and history of the Hungarian capital city.

If you don’t want to give up the view from the River Danube, a cruise with a similar program is also available. Moreover, we organize walking tours, too.

This Budapest sightseeing tour provides a unique and interesting way to discover the most beautiful region of the Hungarian capital city. If this trip has aroused your attention, book a tour as soon as possible. And when you travel to Budapest next time, visit them one by one because each of them deserves an individual tour..
